
Originally a native of central Connecticut Marty Received his B.A. in Music and Liberal Arts from Nazareth College in Rochester New York. During that time Marty became licensed by the New York State Department of Education to teach Vocational Technical Education. Marty utilized that degree while at college to teach in a local trade school.
Upon graduating in the early eighties, Marty moved to New York City, knowing since childhood that he wanted to live here.
During his first few months in New York, Marty started working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in their elegant dining room as Maitre'd. Loving the food and service industry he continued his career at "Windows on the World" and worked his way up to "Captain in charge" and later again to "Maitre'd". During that time Marty started investing in real estate privately and while looking had many times been offered jobs at real estate firms by their principals. By the late eighties he decided to change careers since he seemed to have a knack for buying and selling real estate. Upon receiving his license Marty quickly made his first deal and his love for matching up people with apartments had begun. Two years later Marty received his broker's license and now over 15 years and many deals later continues to privately invest while assisting buyers and sellers alike. In addition to his investment units in New York, Marty has a love for restoring old Victorian homes and is currently restoring a 7500 square foot Victorian on the Jersey shore in the newly revitalized Asbury Park Marty has also restored homes in Pennsylvania and Kansas.
Marty shares his own experiences buying and selling Real Estate with his clients, walking them through the process, to help facilitate the buying process for them.
