Ann Lineberger's love of architecture and training as an interior designer make her a valuable asset to her real estate clients. Ann's expertise allows her to help clients envision how they could live in existing spaces, renovate homes to better suit their needs and stage homes prior to sale.
Before starting to sell real estate and running a home staging business, Ann Lineberger Interiors, Ann worked for fifteen years in journalism. She largely covered the interior design industry. In 2004, she authored the book New Spaces, Old World Charm (McGraw-Hill). In it, she discusses how top interior designers and architects add a sense of age to new construction. Ann wrote the book to help those who admire the details of antique homes but prefer updated floor plans and amenities. In 2006, after living in two antique homes, Ann directed the building of a ""new old” Colonial farmhouse for her family. When Ann works with real estate clients, she is happy to share her related experiences and knowledge with them.
Ann is very familiar with the towns of Fairfield County, having grown up in Stamford and returning to buy a home in Wilton ten years ago with her husband, Christopher Lineberger, who is from New Canaan. Lured by its rural impression, friendly atmosphere and excellent school system, Ann and Chris are raising their family in Wilton.
Prior to settling in Connecticut, Ann lived in Manhattan for ten years on the Upper Eastside and Westside. Given Ann's life and work experience, she is especially skilled at working with clients who move from an urban setting to a suburban setting or visa versa. Ann understands the lifestyle changes, and believes that educating her clients about the locales and life within them is the best way to ensure they will be happy in their new homes.
Educational Background:
While in school, Ann traveled several times to Europe to formally study the history of architecture and spent much of her time in Italy where she developed an understanding and respect of architecture, ranging from antique to modern.
Professional Affiliations and Interests:
Along with her family, Ann is a member of Connecticut's Wee Burn Country Club and Maine's Prouts Neck Country Club. Her favorite charities include the Fresh Air Fund, ASPCA, Wilton Land Conservation Trust and National Trust for Historic Preservation. In her free time, Ann enjoys reading, film and running. She continues to study architectural history and interior design.
