With nearly 20 years experience in corporate finance and administration prior to joining Halstead Property, mostly in the music industry, Abbe Chant brings unique and valuable skills to the table in working with residential real estate clients. After buying, renovating, and selling apartments on her own, Abbe decided to make real estate a full-time career. Abbe partners with Senior Vice President Ivana Tagliamonte, who was the top selling agent of the Halstead Village office for the second half of 2008.
A true professional, Abbe offers focus, dedication and innovative marketing ideas to sellers. She also brings her extra high energy and enthusiasm for “the search” to buyers and makes the purchase process seamless and fun. As a longtime finance professional, she helps clarify the often complex financial aspects of real estate transactions. With an eye for home décor and staging, Abbe landed a spot on HGTV's “Small Space Big Style” to feature her first renovation project.
Abbe previously held the position of Vice President of A&R Administration at Sony Music. She started her career by earning her CPA and working as an auditor for Ernst & Young. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Abbe is active in the companion animal rescue community, acting as Program Manager for Woof Dog Rescue and Foster Care Captain for Animal Care & Control. A person who fits a lot of activities into any given day, Abbe also enjoys boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, and running. Abbe has lived in Manhattan for 16 years, and now resides in the Gramercy Park area.
